Compare installed prices, not just the tire
On this site, the headline tire price includes the selected installation package and mandatory disposal charges. The default is Economy, the lowest mandatory installation package. The itemized estimate shows what is included; choosing another package changes the estimate. Optional work is not automatically a required part of buying a tire.

The California tire fee is separate from disposal
California's fee is $1.75 per new tire as listed by CDTFA when this guide was prepared. Four eligible new tires therefore carry $7.00 in California tire fees. That government fee is not the shop's charge for handling an old tire. This is a fee example, not a tire-price quote or promotion; consult the linked CDTFA rate table for changes. The storefront's quote engine remains the source for applicable fees on an actual selection.

Installed does not mean tax included
The displayed estimated out-the-door total combines tires, the selected installation package, applicable California tire fees and estimated sales tax. The itemized quote determines which charges are taxable; do not estimate tax by multiplying every line indiscriminately. Choose a store for the applicable rate. When a rate is unavailable, the site says the estimate is before tax rather than assuming zero tax.
Know what can change your comparison
Compare the same tire, quantity and package. For staggered setups, check the front and rear quantities separately. Our tire prices are uniform across the network, including independently owned stores, but a network price does not mean a franchise has the tire on its shelf. Call the store to confirm availability and service timing. Online browse intent is not a paid order or confirmed appointment.

Ask about the full estimate
The California Attorney General's guidance says advertised prices generally must include mandatory charges, subject to the law's exceptions. This guide explains our presentation; it is not legal advice or a guarantee that additional work your vehicle needs is included. Review the estimate and authorize any separate service before work proceeds.
