What’s included

Wheel alignment adjusts the angles at which your tires meet the road. A pothole or curb impact can change those angles, and worn steering or suspension parts can affect them too. Tell the advisor when you first noticed pulling or an off-center steering wheel so the inspection starts with useful context.

  • Measure the angles

Review alignment readings against the specifications for your vehicle and suspension configuration.
  • Check the cause

Discuss tire wear, steering symptoms and visible suspension concerns before authorizing adjustments.
  • Review the result

Ask for the final readings and an explanation of any condition that still needs attention.

How it works

Pulling, an off-center steering wheel or a new pattern of tire wear deserves a closer look. A wheel alignment compares your vehicle’s wheel angles with its specifications and adjusts the angles that can be corrected. Start with an inspection so worn parts or tire issues are not mistaken for an alignment problem.

  1. A technician clamps an alignment target to a front wheel on the rack

Step 1: A target on every wheel

Your vehicle goes on the alignment rack and each wheel gets a measuring target, so all four are read together.
  2. An alignment screen showing a bar for each wheel

Step 2: Measured against your specs

Camber, caster and toe are compared with the specifications for your vehicle before anything is adjusted.
  3. Gloved hands adjusting a tie rod with two wrenches

Step 3: Adjusted where it can be

The technician corrects the angles your vehicle allows, most often toe at the tie rods. Ask for the final readings.

Your questions, answered

Still have a question? Call Anaheim: (714) 831-2188

Is alignment the same as wheel balancing?

No. Alignment concerns wheel angles. Balancing addresses uneven weight around a wheel and tire assembly. Tell your advisor whether you notice pulling, uneven wear or vibration so they can inspect the right systems.

Will alignment fix a pull every time?

Pulling can have more than one cause, including tires and suspension wear. An inspection helps determine whether alignment is the right next step.

How much does wheel alignment cost?

It depends on your vehicle and what it needs, so your store quotes it after looking at the vehicle and before any work is done.

How long does wheel alignment take?

Plan on about 1 hr in the bay. Your advisor tells you before starting if your vehicle needs longer, for example when parts must be ordered.

Do I pay when I book?

No. Booking online is free and there is no payment today. You pay at Anaheim after the work is done.

Can I wait while it’s done?

Yes. When you book, choose whether you’ll wait or drop off your vehicle, and your store plans the visit around it.

Can I combine this with another service?

Yes. You can choose several services when you book. Your store reviews the work you chose, available parts and time needed before confirming.
